Sorry we haven't posted in a while but we've both been extremely busy with
work and new clients. Unfortunately, Congress has been busy, too.
As you know the new Democrat Congress promised new ethics rules. What have these
new ethics rules given us? Apparently not much. The
Washington Post reports that the "policies on lobbying are selectively
strict."
For example, according to the article, Senator Max Baucus (D-Montana) is
"offering special interests a chance next month to go skiing and snowmobiling in
Big Sky country. All it takes is a $2,000 donation per person or a $5,000
donation from a political action committee."
We're happy to see those new ethics rules are changing things in Washington.
Speak English posted January 12, 2007
There's been a lot of talk (and news coverage) about the Pizza Patron chain
of pizza stores offering to accept Mexican pesos for payment.
Frankly, we don't care if they accept rocks and seashells as payment. What we do
care about is this: "each manager must be bilingual and live nearby, said Pizza
Patron founder Antonio Swad."
Must be bilingual? Why? This is the United States of America, we speak English,
American-English. Even the British who immigrated here learned to speak
American-English. The Italians, Germans, Poles, Russians, Indians, Pakistanis,
and even the Spanish from Spain who came here all learned to speak English. Not
Latin Americans, they have their own rules, even coming across the Mexican
border illegally. They will not learn our language and idiots like the pizza guy
reward these people for not doing as every other ethnic group ever to come to
this country has done.
If you live in Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada or California please do us a
favor and do not go to Pizza Patron until they decide to do the right thing and
speak English only.
Rudy Trademarks; Dems create 43,000 union jobs and give money to education
in Muslim and Arab countries posted January 11, 2007
Ha! And you thought we’d write about the President’s speech. Why bother?
Everyone else did. So we decided to move on to the ridiculous.
One of the RINOs running (maybe) for President went and trademarked his name
according to the
New York
Daily News.
Apparently, the "trade names and trademarks 'Rudolph Giuliani,' or 'Giuliani
Partners LLC' . . . shall not be used . . . without prior written consent."
Okay, we do not have prior written consent so sue us for this: Rudy Giuliani is
a RINO!
On to the more ridiculous…
Speaker Pelosi and he Democrats kept a promise and passed HR1, Implementing the
9/11 Commission Recommendations Act. Of course, Mrs. Pelosi didn’t bother to
tell anyone in the Democrat campaign promise that the bill creates 43,000 union
workers by allowing airport screeners collective bargaining rights, as well as
some protection if they become whistle-blowers. Just great, now we’ll have to go
to the airport three hours early because of union breaks, thanks Mrs. Pelosi.
The 279 page bill also creates an “International Arab and Muslim Youth
Opportunity Fund” to invest in public education in Arab and Muslim countries. Of
course there is not one word in the bill on how much this will cost. Apparently
the Democrats prefer Every American Child Left Behind to No Child Left behind by
sending money for education in Arab and Muslim countries rather than our own.
Democrats to hold moronic "symbolic vote" posted
January 10, 2007
According to the
New York Times, the Democrats are planning a "symbolic vote" against the
President's plan to send more troops to Iraq. What a joke! They are holding a
symbolic vote while a very real war is happening.
This is asinine. These liberals still just don't get it. We were attacked, not
the other way around. And do not use the same weak argument of the left that
Iraq did not attack us because no nation attacked us. Terrorists attacked us and
we must go and fight these terrorists where they are. They happen to be in Iraq
and Afghanistan and that's where we are. A few were in Somalia so we bombed the
hell out of them.
Even worse than the fact the Democrats are planning their moronic "symbolic
vote" next week is that as many as 10 Republican senators may vote with the
Democrats. Now is not the time for Republicans to act weak. Especially these
senators who may vote with the liberals. If that happens Ken Mehlman better grow
a set and banish those who vote with the Democrats from our Party. We will be
watching this "symbolic vote" next week and if these senators vote with the
liberals we will start a petition for Mr. Mehlman to banish them from our Party.
We don’t need RINOs any more!
Only in New Jersey posted January 9, 2007
The wonderful people who gave us civil unions in New Jersey now want to
remove idiot from the state’s constitution.
According to
CNN’s website, "State Senate President Richard Codey introduced a bill
Monday that would remove language from the New Jersey constitution that was
designed more than 150 years ago to prevent people suffering from mental illness
or handicap from casting their vote in national, state or local elections."
"Codey wants to eliminate a section that says 'no idiot or insane person should
enjoy the right of suffrage' and substitute with a reference to 'a person who
has been adjudicated by a court of competent jurisdiction to lack the capacity
to understand the act of voting.'"
After the civil union bill passed what Mr. Codey should have done was changed
the language to something along the lines of "no idiot should enjoy the right to
pass laws."
Fortunately, assuming Codey's changes clear the legislature, New Jersey voters
will be asked to approve a constitutional amendment. At that time the voters
will hopefully vote to keep the word idiot in the state's constitution as a form
of protest for the legislature passing the civil union bill.
Pelosi to hold back Iraq funds... NOT posted January 8,
2007
Liberal candidate for President Senator Joe Biden understands the
constitution. Why can't the rest of you libs, like Speaker Pelosi, get it? As
Mr. Biden told Meet the Press, "He'll be able to keep the troops there forever,
constitutionally, if he wants to."
So get over it libs! Get over it Mrs. Pelosi! Congress voted to authorize the
war in Iraq and now that President Bush is going to send more troops over there
and hopefully all the other politicians permit them to do their jobs we can
actually go and win this thing.
Before some "scholar" posts a comment about the constitution and how we can get
out of Iraq, please don't bother, we do know how it works and there will NEVER
be enough RINOs in congress to join the Democrats.
And if anyone reading this thinks we're a little too happy about the war in
Iraq, consider this. Both of us are prior military, one army and one marine. The
army half of us returned from Iraq only 9 months ago, the marine half was
discharged in 1989 and has several friends over there. We are doing many good
things in Iraq that the press never reports. If you seriously need some examples
feel free to email us as we do not want this post to become a novel. The
point is WE JUST WANT TO WIN THIS WAR and we are sick and tired of cry baby
liberals trying to keep us from winning.
Oh yeah, one more thing, you cannot say you support the troops and not the
war. You must support both, you can't have your cake and eat it to.
Believe it or not Barbara Boxer did the right thing
posted January 5, 2007
We could hardly believe it when we
read it! Liberal Congresswoman Barbara Boxer rescinded a certificate
honoring a member of the Muslim advocacy group, the Council on American-Islamic
Relations (CAIR).
Seriously, let’s give credit where credit is due. She did the right thing which
is a lot more than we can say about the new Congressman from Minnesota, Keith
Ellison.
And, no we aren’t talking about him taking the oath with a Quran, no matter who
owned it. We’re talking about Mr. Ellison taking campaign contributions from
leaders of CAIR and keeping them. Ellison’s own campaign
admits
to receiving between $15,000 and $20,000 from a CAIR fundraising event and never
even considered giving the money back.
This is a guy who associates with known terrorist supporters and now he is in
Congress. Just great! Maybe Congresswoman Boxer should straighten this guy out.
Senator Barack Obama drug user and maybe more posted
January 4, 2007
Much has been written in Blogs about Senator Barack Obama's admitted drug use
as it seems, according to his own words, he was a regular drug user. "Pot had
helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack,
though," is what the
Washington Post reported Obama wrote.
Frankly, we don't think the fact he smoked pot will sink his possible campaign,
it didn't hurt former President Clinton. That said, cocaine is a whole other
story. Now we know the liberals are going to start trying to say President Bush
was a coke user, we've heard them say it before. Prove it! Obama admits he was a
coke-head.
The thing is, the fact he used cocaine doesn't bother us as much as this Obama
statement: "We were always playing on the white man's court . . . by the white
man's rules," he writes. "If the principal, or the coach, or a teacher . . .
wanted to spit in your face, he could, because he had the power and you didn't.
. . ."
That statement is border line racist and this guy might run for President.
Hopefully liberals will be as hard on him as they would be if a Black Republican
made a similar statement.
GodBlessAmerica.Org posted January 3, 2007
We, well okay one of us, just spoke with a friend who has some pretty good
news for conservatives. Apparently, in about two weeks a new 527 group is
starting. The group's name and website are GodBlessAmerica.org. The site is not
yet active but we look forward to the start.
In talking with our friend we learned GodBlessAmerica.org is an organization
dedicated to preserving traditional family values and the principles of our
founding fathers.
Their political director, who asked we not reveal his name until after their
official launch, tells us it is their "mission to expand the influence of
America's grassroots. To help the average citizen have a voice in government."
He went on to tell us that GodBlessAmerica.org is the place for anyone who
believes in "hard work, self-reliance, less government, the preservation of our
Judeo-Christian values, and the free enterprise system that has made America the
envy of the world."
One thing the political director told us that makes us believe at least one
group will continue the fight against illegal immigration was, "If you believe
national security starts with securing our borders against the illegal alien
invasion of our country, you need to join GodBlessAmerica.org."
For that reason alone you can bet both of us will drop the $15 donation we were
told gets you a charter membership in the organization. We'll let you know as
soon as they launch.
RINO campaign loses playbook posted January 3, 2007
If Rudy the RINO wants to be President he’d better get his staff to learn how
to hold on to a 140 page document.
The New
York Daily News and
Fox News have
reported that Rudy’s staff (or at least a member of his staff) lost his
campaign’s “play book.” As politicians are only as good as those they keep
around them (i.e. their staff) how good can this campaign possibly be.
To us, perhaps the most amusing part of the story in the Daily News was Rudy’s
spokeswoman Sunny Mindel. She actually said to the paper, “I wonder why such
suspicious activity is occurring and can only guess it is because of Rudy's poll
numbers in New Hampshire and Iowa.”
Suspicious activity? What is she talking about. The truth of the matter is some
staffer had the document out at a campaign event and left it in plain view. A
rival campaign took it and gave it to a reporter. There is nothing suspicious
about that, just bad campaign staff hired by Rudy the RINO.
If only McCain’s team would be as bad we might have a conservative in 2008.
...And in other news...
We really enjoyed this CNN mistake:
It's a New Year, now what? posted January 1, 2007
Happy New Year to all!
So 2006 is the year the Democrats beat the GOP. Let's give credit where
credit is due. They kicked our butts!
So now what? 2008 is just around the corner. The presidential candidates are
gearing up.
Do conservatives just roll over, play dead and let the RINOs take over? It
could happen. Look at McCain running around the country pretending to be a
conservative.
We think it's time for conservatives to step up and fight hard to see that we
take Washington back in 2008. Pelosi will screw up and open the door for us.
Plus no matter what the liberals say, this past election was not a vote against
conservatives. Most of the Democrats that won are conservatives and many
Republicans who lost were RINOs, so there is hope. Keep fighting!
